Book Review: Break Me by Naomi Martin

Title: Break Me

Author: Naomi Martin

Stars: I gave this book an all-around 4 stars. It was fun, entertaining. I definitely loved the ending.

What is this book about?

Before going to Sapphire Bay, Winter had lost her father and grandmother. After a year of booze, drugs and boys she turns a new leaf, or so she tried. Nothing really comes easy for Winter after she becomes involved with some really messy business.

Did you connect with any of the characters? How was the character development?

I personally didn't connect with any of the characters. Most of Winter's character development seemed to have happened before the book is set. Even though she did struggle since she was hanging out with the popular kids, not much changed as far as her values, morality and perspective.

What I liked most about the book.

It was sexy. (Yes, there are sex scenes in this book.) It was thrilling, I was constantly guessing what was going to happen. Even though the thrilling part was a bit short, it was entertaining.

What I liked least about the book.

I really wish it would have been longer. Bonnie, Winter's best friend, should've been a much bigger character. She did annoy me but I felt like the story could have included her a bit more.

Inspiring Quotes

There weren't any quotes that stood out to me.

Would you recommend this book?

I definitely think that if you enjoy thrilling, young adult, sexual type novel then this is the book for you. It's short, easy to read and fun.
